Our Story
Back in 1986, the company Nicole worked for was planning a mailing. She called around to find a local mailing house, but could not find a single one in Vermont. Sensing an opportunity, Nicole started her company with $800 and a bunch of used tables and equipment.
The Mailing Center is now THE PRINT AND MAILING CENTER
By 1991, The Print + Mailing Center (formerly known as The Mailing Center) was a full-time business. In 2002, Nicole’s husband Michael, who had been helping out on lunches and weekends, left his job at Rock of Ages and joined the company. Their son Chris (the oldest) started full-time that same year, a few years after graduating from the University of Vermont. Their second son, Jeff, joined the business in 2005. Both sons and Michael have been involved in the business part-time since its inception (Jeff remembers playing with his Legos under the table while his parents were sorting mail above).
The Print + Mailing Center is a locally-owned, independent, family-run business – a place where relationships become friendships. We truly value long-lasting, mutually-beneficial relationships with our customers. Meet the Team
NICOLE handles day-to-day administrative duties: answering the phones, emails, quotes and estimates, mailing list management, as well as accounts receivable and payable.
CHRIS is our Print Services Manager. If you have anything pertaining to printing, Chris can help! He is a veritable Jedi master with Adobe Creative Suite, and can offer all sorts of input to make your job look its best. Chris also handles print estimates and mailing list management.
JEFF is Production and Bindery Manager. He is the machine operator for everything that gets the mail out the door and on its way: the inserter, inkjet addressing, tabbing, stamp affixer, folder, and the new large-format die-cut printer and heat press.
MICHAEL is our Operations Manager. He handles customer pick-ups and deliveries, as well as mail delivery, and is an undisputed mail design guru. He will handle phones, but no computers. He’s likely the person you’ll meet in person if TMPC needs to come to your business for pickups or drop-offs.
ZOEY is our Office Manager and Customer Service Representative. She is a 5-pound (when wet) Pomeranian who works for cookies and keeps us all smiling!
